Indecision Interview/1/13/12 NJ show pics ( photos by Carrie Whitney)

Me and Tom Sheehan have been friends for a long long time .So long that kids thought i was in the band eveytime I went to go see them. Team 1000knives went to New Jersey on 1/13/2012 for the Suburban Scum (who just put out a great new seven inch on 6131 records) record release party in Kearny,NJ. I caught up with Tom after the show days later and asked him some questions on the current state of Indecision.

What was the original idea behind Indecision playing shows again?

We were asked to play a benefit show out on Long Island in like 2005 with Silent Majority and we couldn’t do it.So we felt like we wanted to help too. Cousin Joe asked us to play the Superbowl on 2006 and that was it.

So it’s not a full time touring thing. just a fun project to do due to everyone’s busy schedules?

Absolutely. We play a few times a year at most. We try and play once around NYC and then another show elsewhere. We really don’t have enough time to do much more than that with families and jobs and stuff.

What are the highlights in these past years reforming?

We have been lucky. All of the shows have been pretty memorable. The first show back stands out, we really had no idea what to expect. The Unbroken show was a huge highlight for us to play with them. Rainfest was cool too. Really every show so far has been awesome.

With all of this happening currently and having so much fun.. any plans on recording anything?

We have talked about it a lot but I really dont know if it will ever happen. We struggle to get everyone in the same room to practice for shows these days. I would like to see if we could do something.

Any plans you can talk about for 2012?

Nothing set in stone yet. We have some ideas for NYC, LI and maybe a show towards end of the year in Chicago for a friend’s birthday. We shall see.
